Behind The Scenes

Behind the Scenes Question #3

The Saturday afternoon before the first
Sunday of the month a church member
bakes an artisan loaf of bread that will
be used in communion on the following
Sunday.

This loaf, which is presented, blessed,
and then broken in the communion
service is saved and frozen
immediately after the service.

The next month it is defrosted, the crust
removed, and cut up into the pieces
which will be served that Sunday at
communion.  A fresh loaf of bread is
also baked.

Who is this mystery baker who
bakes the communion bread?

Behind the Scenes Question #1

In the front of the sanctuary is a song
board that lists the hymns for the
service each Sunday.

Once Pastor Greg has selected the
service songs, and the bulletin is
finalized, a certain member of the
church comes in at the end of the week
and changes the numbers of the
hymns.

The numbers are kept in a box inside
the pulpit on the platform.

Once the numbers have been selected
from the box they are slid into the
grooves on the board.

Do you know who the keeper of
the song board is?
