Worship
The Sunday morning service is the center
of our congregational life.  In an informal
yet structured service, we listen for God’s
word, meditate God’s direction for us, pray
together and sing in praise and
thanksgiving our blessings.  During worship
we also share, if we wish to, what’s most
important to us during “joys and
concerns.”  Spiritual seekers are welcome
to join us as we explore questions of faith
together.
Services are held in the beautiful sanctuary of our
church.  The sanctuary has an open high wooden
cathedral ceiling and wooden trestle support
beams. The walls on each side contain stained
glass windows donated by members of the church
and various church organizations.  In the front of
the sanctuary directly behind the pulpit and located
high on the back wall is “The Rose” window.
Members of the congregation designed the windows
themselves.
When you enter our church on Sunday morning
you will be welcomed at the door with a friendly
handshake.  Greeters will provide you with a
nametag and show you into the sanctuary where
ushers will greet you and provide you with the
service bulletin.  Prior to the service a multimedia
display lists weekly and monthly events in the life
of the church and where to obtain additional
information.

The worship service includes hymn singing,
prayers, choral anthems and a special time for
children.  Music to nurture our spirits is provided
by our Rodgers Trillium organ, piano, and
sometimes guitar.
The sermon is focused, Biblical and relevant to everyday life.  We observe the
sacraments of communion and baptism.  Communion is the first Sunday of the
month.  The communion table is open to all.

Children are always welcome in our worship.  Our Church School meets for Christian
Education in our Upper Room or in the Fellowship Hall. Children leave worship after
the children’s time.  Children are in Sunday School during the remainder of the
worship service.  On communion Sunday the children join their families back in the
sanctuary for communion.  Childcare is available during the entire service for infants
and pre-school children.
After the service, we invite all worshipers to join us for fellowship, along with some
coffee and other refreshments.
