The Rutherford Child Care Center is a not-for-profit, non-denominational daycare center that has been a mission of the Rutherford Congregational Church since 1975. We pride ourselves in offering quality care, and strive to maintain a warm, loving, secure and supportive environment in which children may grow in independence and self-control. Here at our Center, we want to prepare children for successful learning by making school a place to explore and discover.
Our educational program includes language arts, science, arts and crafts, music and physical education. Informal reading readiness and math readiness are embodied in the entire program. Believing that play is the language of children, the Center provides many opportunities for dramatic and creative play with indoor and outdoor equipment and the time to experiment with blocks, paints, clay, glue and a variety of other materials.
We accept children from 2 ½(and toilet trained) through Kindergarten, without discrimination as to race, color or creed. Our Kindergarten is fulltime and follows the Rutherford School curriculum. Class sizes are limited, and we have full and part time spaces, although preference is given to full time students. The Center is open from 7:30am until 5:30pm, Monday through Friday.
If you would like to put your child on our waiting list, please call the Center at (201) 438-0140. Please do not wait, as our list can be long.
