Our new pastor, the Rev. Gregory J. Rupright, moved
to Rutherford, NJ on July 26, 2005. He is a native of
Fort Wayne, IN and is a graduate of Hope College,
Holland, MI where he earned his A.B. in Religion and
History. Gregory studied at New Brunswick
Theological Seminary in New Brunswick, NJ for two
years before completing his Master of Divinity
(M.Div.) Degree at Union Theological Seminary in
the City of New York in May 1989. He served as a
Part-Time Interim Pastor of First Reformed Church, Union City, NJ from
1990-1994, and, most recently, as the Minister of Word & Sacraments of
Emanuel United Church of Christ, Woodhaven, NY (1995-2005).
Gregory has an interest in history, especially Medieval, Renaissance, and
Reformation periods, and enjoys reading, music, theatre, gourmet and diner
foods, and long walks. He also is very happy to be serving his new family of faith
at Rutherford Congregational Church of Rutherford, NJ.
